Waters of The Unknown
Poetry

Feel your way through the discomfort,
wade in the waters of the unknown,
let the waves of uncertainty and doubt
crash upon your shores.
Stand there with might, not fright.
Stand with understanding, not deterrence.
For your will is what got you here.
And your will is what allows you to stand strong,
but in this moment your will to persevere is not your friend.
In this moment, we must listen to our hearts.
We must breathe in the salty air.
In this moment, we must feel what remains.
We must feel our truth.
For the truth always presents itself to us,
but in our desires we have become accustomed to ignoring its input.
Ignoring its knowledge, ignoring its message.
In essence, we are ignoring ourselves in attempt to protect
those walls and barriers we have spent our lives fortifying.
I ask you to wade in the waters of discomfort and uncertainty.
For these waves cannot uncover your truth
Nor can they destroy your Walls of Troy.
The vast defenses you embody only become stronger to withstand the
thrashing waves.
These walls withhold the ultimate knowledge of one’s experience.
Like the Walls of Troy, they can only fall from within.
So I ask you to wade in the waters of the unknown.
Listen.
Breathe.
Feel.
Be.
It is here where the unknown becomes the known.
It is here where the truth lies.
It is here where your truth lies.
Embrace your truth.
Embrace yourself.
Shine your light.
